Why should I ... run Battlegrounds?
07/05/2009 04:19 PM by Krakesh.

It's a PvP server. I'm here because my friends who persuaded me to play (yes, I have no free will - three accounts should be enough evidence for that) are here. Would I have rolled on a PvE server if they weren't? Maybe...

Regardless, Battlegrounds are there for all to see. PvP is an interesting aspect of the game. Some of us love it and are always in the BGs, whilst others abhor the BG chat or the constant death associated with playing a clothie healer.

In 2 years (my WoW anniversary is this month) I believe I've run about 6 BGs. Total. I have some Marks. Wouldn't know what to do with them. I even have some Honor. What would I do with that?

So, dear guildies. Why should I run BGs? Is it for the loot? The humiliation of being a 'suxxzor'? Or is there something more? You need to persuade me, a PvE addict, that BGs are worthwhile to run. You could try persuading me with loot, but I suspect you'll have to try harder than that.

Why should I run BGs?

OT meets KT
27/04/2009 10:09 PM by Krakesh.

Now we haven't posted many pictures of boss kills; for a start, we intend to kill them lots of times and the pictures begin to become a little meaningless. But this week is only the second time we have cleared all four quarters of Naxxramas. After a great Friday and a hard-fought Sunday, we returned tonight with the sole expectation of dropping the Four Horsemen again. So, a little unexpectedly, we ventured into Sapphiron's lair. And on about the fifth attempt, he dropped...

And then there's KT...

You will be ours, you 5 million hit-pointer, you...

Old Timers' Young Timer
06/04/2009 05:12 PM by Krakesh.

If you ignore Careface, we don't actually have a baby in the guild. So it's with great happiness that I give you the news that Fairmir and Spunge have rolled an alt together.

A bouncing baby boy, he's a healthy specimen, good-looking and intelligent. No comments about Fairmir please.

Join me in wishing Lars and Louise our deepest congratulations and wish all three of them our very best!

Respect others
27/03/2009 09:37 AM by Varlack.

To all,

Recently, I have over stepped the mark with regards to the running of the guild, guild structure, and directed comments at people within the guild. This last part is in no way acceptable on my part, and for this I am truly sorry. I am stepping down from all aspects of guild authority by choice. Out of the respect of others, it stops now.

Kind Regards

Lee

Storm
26/03/2009 09:37 AM by Varlack.

Storm is a new group operating with Old Timers. We are starting from scratch and it will be a tuff grind, but the rewards will be great! Our aim is to keep grinding away at Naxx, OS, and VOA until they all drop. It will be a long hard road, as at the start only a few are geared enough – but don’t let that deter you! Yes we will bounce of off the bosses, time and time again, but we will not let that get in our way.

Naxx will typically be scheduled for a Friday night start and followed up with a Sunday evening run. (Toying with the Idea of changing it to a Friday / Saturday venue). Obviously, healers and tanks will be the first chosen (and rotated if we should ever be oversubscribed in this department!), Dps will be rotated. If you don’t make the run week 1, we will endeavour to get you in to week 2. If you’re not selected for the raid on the Friday, please feel free to pug ad not feel committed to saving yourself for the run – but when signing up, please have the intention of running both nights.

Also, Storm, wants to try 25 man Naxx! So what if we die horribly! Let’s give it ago when we get the numbers.

If we can get enough people from storm together on a night that is not a Naxx night, we will do OS or VOA as and when.

Let’s work at making this a good group. Do not look at this as the old gearing group. We want to take this further than that and we can only do it with you!
If you want to be a part of Storm, talk to Padraig or Varlack, mainly so you can be added to the SK list for drops.

Thanks for taking the time to read this.
