Ill yet again
09/06/2010 07:46 AM by Krakesh.

Since Sunday afternoon I've lost 4.5kg. Good thing normally, but not because of 'flu. So that's why I haven't been on since then, and I won't be able to make it tonight.

Dag and Paddy, if you could lead tonight please. I had planned to extend the raid ID and go drop Rotface. I've selected everybody's roles up until and including Eggma on the sign-up page, but we still need at least one more dps...

Hope it goes well.

A holiday...
26/05/2010 09:22 PM by Krakesh.

I won't be around to lead ICC for a couple of raids. I should be back for Sunday 6th June. In the meantime, I shall leave you in Dag's capable hands. They are lovely and smooth, and not at all calloused like mine are.

Enjoy,

Gary

Krakesh needs heals!!!
12/05/2010 01:17 PM by Krakesh.

Two weeks ago I went sledging at a snowdome. Something happened to my back that has got worse and worse. It came to a head this weekend, and sitting for any short length of time causes agony. This means I won't be involved in raiding for the next few sessions, if not weeks. I'm hoping Braewen and others can keep you guys pushing through ICC while I'm gone.

I'll be monitoring achievements...

Old Timers Treasure Hunt!!!
26/03/2010 05:59 PM by Krakesh.

So, the secret is revealed... The next 48 hours see you all with a chance of winning two thousand gold!

The rules:
- This is a treasure hunt!
- The list of items can be found here: http://s.guildomatic.com/12487/host/cf/cf306119f85a76d9ab82e428480b2330.csv
- If you have any problems opening this CSV file, please contact Krakesh in-game,
- Points are awarded for items from a list of carefully selected bought, farmed, crafted or ground items.
- Gather as many of the items listed as you can to score points. Not every item on the list needs to be sent, but the more you tick off the list the greater your chances are of winning.
- In order to score points, multiples of the minimum number of the item listed must be mailed to Krakesh.
- Any mailed over the maximum number will not be eligible for points. So, for example, if the minimum is 20 and the maximum is 60, you will recieve no points for mailing less than 20, and you will receive points for mailing 20, 40 or 60. Any more than the maximum will be welcomed, but will not award you any further points.
- You can hunt for these items on any character of yours. Indeed, you can beg or buy from other Ahn'Qirajians. However, you can only submit your treasure from one character. Unless otherwise stated, this is the character you are registered on the website with. Any mail from non-registered toons will be returned unopened.
- The player with the maximum points at 7pm server time on Sunday 28th March will be declared the winner, and will receive 2 000g. 2nd (1 000g) and 3rd (500g) place prizes will also be awarded.
- It may take a while to advertise the winner, plus the raid starts shortly after, so be patient. :)
- Any toons of Krakesh and Herbit are ineligible to take part in any fashion. No, we will not help you. :)

Specials:
- Drancy and Krakesh will be hiding in a zone for one hour each on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The times are random, and will be announced in /g at the beginning of the hour. Find them, collect your item from them and mail it to Krakesh for bonus points. Only items collected from them will be eligible for the points (They will record who has visited them). A maximum of 12 of each of these items is available, so make sure you are in the first 12 to find them! Only one per person.
- If you like the item so much that you wish to keep it, that is of course your choice. They are worth a lot of points though and it will only be counted if it is mailed to Krakesh unused.

Rules:
- Anyone may take part, regardless of level. The higher the level, the easier you will find it though. The SPECIAL ZONES will be relatively accessible from anyone in the high-teens.
- Players may team up, however everything must be mailed from one character, and the prize will only be given to one character.
- All mails must reach Krakesh by 7pm server time on Sunday night, so be sure to mail them in time! (Mail takes an hour to reach its destination)

What will happen with these items? Well, many of them will be resources that the guild will use to help out all of its members. Some of the items will be used in a guild raffle, one of our upcoming events for April.

Raid Progress
21/03/2010 10:45 PM by Krakesh.

Three weeks or so ago, we took a decision to review our raiding skills. We ventured back into places like Ulduar to test out improved talent builds, and to ToC to work on our raid awareness. The plan was to improve our overall group raid ability, work on instructions and encounters, and provide back to the group a better performance.

I think we're nearly there... We dropped Champions on our third (?) attempt, Twins (the first time for several people) also went down on the third attempt... and then to Anub. He took a few more goes (even less had seen him) and we pushed both the wipe and Enrage timer close. But we dropped him, and we have a few more in the guild who are better geared. But more importantly, we have many more who are better skilled. This project has helped my healing skills, and I'm sure there has been a parallel improvement for others.

We can't quite say we have ToC on farm yet. But with zero deaths on the first two encounters, with Twins a learned encounter now, and greater knowledge on Anub, it must be close. As usual, it comes down to Faction Champions, but even they weren't the challenger they were a few months back.

A sincere thank you too all who have taken the time to self-evaluate, to those who have raided and to those who have been on standby. An Old Timers ethos is to share the rewards, so everyone will get their turn...

And from April 4th, we will venture back into Icecrown Citadel. Who knows? Maybe the interest is piqued and we might get two groups? We can only hope :)

K.
